Hi, I’m Lisa Edwards, the creative behind Handmade Being.

I’m an artist and printmaker based in the North West of England, where I teach creative workshops in arts, crafts, and traditional printmaking techniques. I love the achievement, confidence, and creative energy that come from making something by hand, but I also know that getting started can sometimes feel overwhelming.

That’s why I founded Handmade Being, a space for creativity, learning, and making. I’m passionate about passing down traditional skills and crafts, ensuring that we don’t lose these beautiful, time-honoured techniques that are central to our history. Everything I create is designed to reconnect people with their unique human ability to craft, from hands-on workshops and creative retreats to my own handprinted collections.

As part of this vision, Handmade Being has launched a range of creative kits that help bridge the gap between the desire to create and the joy of making. Each kit is designed to maximise time spent making and minimise time spent preparing, so you can immerse yourself in the process without the distractions of sourcing materials and figuring out where to begin.
